where can i get cooltubz? air horn may hit master cyl?

Postby comotionman » Mon Nov 29, 2010 9:18 pm

i need to put an intercooler setup on my 90 w350. i just got hold of an air horn which i think is from an 02. it is the non restictive version and has a 3" inlet. anyway i unbolted the oe crossover pipe to get an eyeball on things. it looks like it will be a very tight fit for the horn and it may hit the master cylinder or be uncomfortably close. i am seriously considering flipping the intake manifold top plate around to move the air horn forward by the distance of one set of bolts as this would negate any potential clearance issues. wondering if anyone has any input on clearance issues. and also mainly want to find out about the cooltubz (coolertubz?) i saw something about them being stainless. are they mandrel bends or straight? do they have hose beads on them? i am probably going to run a pstroke ic, but do not yet have one. i would like to find some tubes that have mandrel bends so i do not have to run any silicone elbows.

Coolertubz are well made. I bought the complete set for the factory i/c and there were no problems. look in the members section for Tworline and he has a link to his web site.

But will they clear the master cylinder without flipping the plate on a N/IC?

Lol, I realize there's Coolertubz for both non-intercooled and intercooled 1st gens, but when intercooling a non-intercooled truck, can you bolt the IC tubz to a N/IC motor without flipping the intake plate, and clear the master cylinder is what i was wonderin.

 if u are going through intercooling it, is it really that big of a problem fliping the plate. Yes I realize about the injector lines too. Really Mr Tim would be the one to know about his product.

Yes it will clear the MC.

The trucks are virtually the same dimension wise.
