trans tunnel?

Postby dazedandconfused » Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:47 pm

Is there a difference in the tunnel between an auto and a standard? This would be on my 93 Ext. Cab. They are at the farm and I haven't been out there to look for myself.

Yup. Auto 2wd is a narrow one. Auto 4x4, standard 2wd, or standard 4x4 are the wide ones.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Pete, you sure?

My 93 Ext Cab auto had the wide one... Room enough for the 4x4 shifter. Straight on the drivers side, 3 angle bow on the passanger side.

Somewhere after 90 or 91 they gave up on different tunnels. They all went with the big ones in 92 and 3. Mark will correct me if I am wrong.

I hope it's the big tunnel keeps me from having to cut it up.

Jon, now that you mention it, I do remember somebody said all ex-cabs were the wide tunnel.

That's why I'm not afraid to stick my neck out and give info, I know somebody will cut it off if I'm wrong!
