cab mounts

hey all,im new to here. i have a 93 d150 5.2 long bed. i am trying to find some new cab mounts for it.
energy suspension say 72-85 only, anyone know why? anyone use this application for the 86-93??
did it work?? was there any modification needed?? thank you

A friend bought some (not sure if they were ES) and used them on a 93. Said they looked identical. But then again his mounts on the cab were rotted out and he did some custom fab.

I have wondered this myself. There must be some difference. All the different sites I have found them list them for only the earlier trucks, regardless of the brand.

Hopefully someone chimes in who knows more.

i just ordered cab mount bushings from a place called ; suspension restoration parts company,they carry energy suspention componets,there parts tech bruce assured me they are the same from 72-93,thats what i thought.
next month when i get some free time i will put them on. i will let you all know how they fit. thanks

well put the energy suspention cab mounts on for the 72-85 on my 93 . did not get to do the radiator support ones yet,but the 4 cab ones worked out perfect. my body lines are all in line now,cant figure out why they say they only work for 72-85. thank you

Compare the unthreaded section [shanks] of the bolts. Some bolts used a bushing over the shank and other bolts were machined with the same size shank as the outside diameter of the bushing. Most of the bushings are rusted in place and most folks do not even know there is a bushing on the bolt. Since the replacement plastic cushions come with a certain style of bolt and bushing instead of the larger shank type bolt they are considered as different even though they interchange when assembled. That's the only difference that I noticed.
