67 C-20, My High School truck(Pic Heavy)

Postby pulltilbroke » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:01 pm

Well been gettin kinda burnt out on diesel stuff latley so I figure I'd start reviving my old 67.

A little back story on this, This was my 1st vehicle I started driving when I turned 16and was my daily driver til I got the Dodge in April of 06

I have now owned it for 13 years, and have no intentions of ever selling it now, this ones goin to the grave with me. I would actually sell my Dodge before I'd ever let this one go and you guys know how much I like My old Pile of Dodge.

Anyhoo, the plans for right now are to get it cleaned up and running with a fresh 292(Cummins Conversion will come later). were also gonna drop her down in da weeds, plans are a 3/5 inch drop and were also gonna leave it 8 lug cause lowered 8 lugs are bitchin.

How its sat for the past 5 years in storage.

Next item of buissnes is to get the motor and tranny in and get the brakes working, after that I'll have to scrounge up a box.

I kinda like the ratty look of it, those c-series chevies were always goodlooking, I had a K-30 before my dodge that i regret selling, at the time the wiring gremlins made me want to drive it off a cliff.

looks like it has character

In my opinion they are the best looking trucks ever built period.

seems like those 8lug mags on your truck should be hard to come by

You can still find em but they are kinda hard to come by, the ones I currently have on there are real odd ball vintage ones, 8 lug 15s.

Nice truck.

I'm a total sucker for a set of slots. :D

They look awesome on anything, I just wish there was a wheel that simple and good looking now-a-days.

I found this site a while ago, if you wanna just go there and drool:

The manifold I had on the 230 in the 3rd pic in my 1st post was a Offy, there a decent manifold but not nearly as good as an old Cliffy

A guy from town used to run a stock car in the 6 cyl class. They were like a late model car, but had 6's. He alway ran 250's and they were heavily cam'ed. It was funny to hear that 6 just run at 1,000 rpm's. Real choppy. Thats a neat project Andrew. We will need vids of it wound out in a nice burnout.

Good news Good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got the box back on.... sorta. Its just sittin on there but its startin to look like a truck again!!! Its been about 8 or so years since the truck and box were together.

The bed is also better shape than I remembered, Its got a few issues but nothing I cant take care of with a welder, stud gun, slide hammer and a touch of filler.
