that truck has been on craigs list for a while now. i saw it over a year and a half ago i think it was when i was looking for a 5 speed truck.

I other than the ugliness, maybe his price is just a bit too high to the un-informed and hence, driving away the less desireable purchasers.

Oh, I wouldn't pay $5800 either. I am picking up a rust free 130k mile 4x4 for $5k.

brushed a good coat of rust bullet on it to protect it. then scuffed that and brushed on a nice coat of rustoleum

He says he is going to screen buyers with his type of repairing.

I bet he is going to just screen the billfold to make sure its empty before they leave.

I called just to poke around and he said he wouldn't sell it to me because I wasn't old enough to own it. I told him the best bet is to just park it and let it rot to the ground then because it's never going to sell. He hung up then.

That guy with the ad is a genuine clown. That makes me want to buy it and run it into something with him watching. I understand sentimental value but that's stupid

That chit pisses me off. I was talking to a guy about a D350 with a 5spd. He said I sounded genuine and I could buy the truck. I was like huh???? He told me some guy came with $3500 he was asking but wanted to put it into a POS Ford so he told him to buzz off.

People make me feel stupid.

That's the way the guy was I bought the 91 off of. He told me he would only sell it to me if I was going to fix it up. I parted and scraped it though.

I bought mine D250 saying i was going to rip the engine out. Ended up fixing it up and driving it. LOL

Hell, I just bought TWO extended cab 2wd trucks for well under half that much, yesterday.
1 is automatic, 1 is 5 speed.
Granted they are both parts trucks with bad trannies, but at least I didn't have to be screened to see if I was worthy of owning them!

1 thing, though, at least he WILL talk to you on the phone.
Most of the interesting stuff on Craigslist is "e-mail me back", which is annoying as hell.
