silver bullet 64 or D-Tech 64

Im gonna get a new turbo but i dont know which turbo to get, im thinking between the silver bullet or the d tech 64. Havent heard much about the d techs as far as reliability. Trying to get some ideas from people who run either one. Hows the spool up on both and what about compressor surge? Any help will greatly appreciated. Also, when i get a new turbo im gonna sell my old one, i was thinking of asking 750 for it. Its a htt 71 series, 62/71/14. It has about 45k miles on it. Is that too much to ask?

My 62/65/12 is a D-tech and I haven't had any problems with it. I've been boosting around 40-45 PSI with it for a couple/few years now.

Will do, i think im gonna go with the silver bullet. Think it will give me more room to grow. Im just still wondering about how the 74 mm turbine will act as far a lag.

Hey Chris have you talked with Forced inductions on a turbo. I'd call and talk to them personally. I know they were way cheaper then HTT or any others I contacted.

I have not, i never even thought about it. But im going to now. If you could text me their number that would be awesome, i aint got a computer, all i got is m phone and it sucks trying to search for anything.

1-256-796-1230 or 1-256-658-5798 Forced inductions. There site has a S300-64 ETT With a choice of a 68mm, 71mm, 74mm turbine wheel and a .80, .90, 1.00 T4 flange listed for $949. They can build anything you want though.

Just make sure you see the T4 part. Not a big deal, but adapter will be needed.

Or a T4 manifold. And before anyone tells you it won't spool because its T4... it'll do just fine.

Yeah I've seen the adapters for $60. I plan to run a T4 manifold so not a huge issue for me and the price difference is worth it. HTT wants $2100 for the same charger. I have called them and gave the specs I wanted and that's the price difference. I can get the turbo and manifold cheaper then the htt turbo.

Do they only offer t4? What would be a good size exhaust housing that wont get too hot or have drive pressure way up?

Call and talk to them or if you are on compd you can pm Jose over there and ask him. I'm sure they can build you one with a T3 if you needed it.

Are you not happy with your 62/71? Spooling and making VE power are two different things when it comes to T4 or other big turbos/housings. Dyno proven over the years and not just my truck.
