Not fueling like it did

Postby JustinRhodes » Sat Nov 12, 2011 5:29 pm

truck used to smoke like a freight train with the turbo spooled, now it only smokes with turbo not spooled. ive replaced fuel filter, checked fuel psi like 20 at idle and lowest ive got it to drop raw doggin it is 10 psi. ive cracked each of the injector lines and rpms drop like they should, took afc top off and the fuel pin is moving like it should. Any suggestions of what to look for now?

Did you fix any boost leaks? Does it have less power or just less smoke?

Still getting full thorttle travel :(

Also just broke my banjo bolt that goes into the afc top, broke it off when i was threading it in by hand
I think i seen on levi's truck some air line stuff. So i might try to head up to sfs tomorrow and get my afc leak fixed. not that it matters tho, smoke screw is bottomed already

Im beginning to wonder if maybe its a injector issue. Im only getting like 17 mpg highway babying it (estimated, odometer broke)

Well i have seen mine as low as 14 before! But that was before the newness of the dennyt pump top and bottoned fuel screw wore off. Now its controlable. Could easily get 22ish.
Are they stock injectors?

Bottomed or not, the pin still has travel. Fix the leak buy drilling and tapping the AFC top with a 1/8" NPT thread tap, get some nylon line and harware from ACE. I spent around 15 for everything. I lost about 7-10psi when mine broke. I bottomed out the smoke crew but could only get 27psi maybe. Now I can peg the 30lbs gauge and slip the clutch.

I only lost like 2 psi at full throttle. it sucks the most when going up a hill, and all the boost goes out the hole
And i talked to tacoclaw and he has the air line stuff in his truck, so im gonna go tonight hopefully to get that stuff.
