If it sounds like a bagged out 6.5 chevy cold starting in -20, back the timing off a bit.

I'd be careful with the head gasket with the added timing as well. Probably be a good idea to at least drill/port the wastegate on that HX35, keep it alive a little longer. I'm gonna do mine next week hopefully, thinkin of goin with a 13/16 bit, and notch the backplate a bit so the flapper can open a bit further.
