You might want to double check your selection. I have read the 12 inch clutch is not the best. Just make sure its what you want before you order it.

I had a 12 in my old truck for about a week. At just 300whp I could burn through that clutch in any gear above 3rd in 2wd. 4wd launches couldnt be done at all. Make sure and get a 13"

Here's what it say's on valir clutch also they don't make a 13" clutch for the NV4500

Attention all 12-1/4" NV4500 users
... You no longer need to upgrade to a 13" clutch, with our new HD Spring Discs you
will never have to worry about breaking the clutch hub or springs like on the OE
version. The new 'Floating' designed hub minimises clutch rattle when idling in neutral
with the clutch pedal released. Avaliable in Organic Facing, Ceramic Button, Kevlar
Button and Kevlar/Ceramic Button.

And I have some screen doors that fit a submarine for sale too. :D Maybe they have fixed the problem. Good luck. So far I am happy with my stock sachs clutch at 300 hp. I don't goose it unless clutch is all the way out. Hopefully it will work well for your setup.

If your set on that thaen the ceramic button will hold the best and the kevlar ceramic will still hold and engage smoother

http://valairinc.com/performance/24nv4500.html - Link to 13" Valair clutches for Getrag's and NV4500's.

Looks like I'm too late with the info, since it sounds like you've ordered it already. Everything I've seen on the aftermarket 12" clutches has said they are okay if you don't tow. Even Southbend's website says that. 13" seems to be the way to go for a single disc clutch.

Well I finally got the tranny in today, but now having to fab up new crossmembber and had to use new bolt on the flywheel and what not and deffenitly had to use the starter for a 94 and up. Also damn talk about tranny cooling, found out there where 3 tranny coolers on that damn truck!! Should have it finished up monday/tuesday as I have to get the new drivehshaft shortened(the one from the truck that the NV4500 came out of) but hopefully saturday everthing will be done and just gota bolt up driveshaft. Also probley going to fix oil leak and play with the pump before I bring her home.
