the one that got away

for those that know me, its no secret i regret selling my 91.0 D250/350 drw conversion. well, i took a road trip today with a buddy to pick up some parts down south. we took a different route back to avoid a bunch of detours. once upon a time i tried to find my old 91, and had a name and address of the last known owner, but that was in late '07. fast forward to today. our return trip brought us through the town that matched the address i had, so i thought what the heck. here is what i found...

the guy was outside laying down a coat of wax. his first words were "im not selling it!". he was understandably weirded out when i explained that i used to own it and i missed it alot. he cooled down after a few mins, but kept asking if i was going to steal it. i tried to leave my number in case he ever wanted to sell, but he said it wouldnt be in the next 5 years as it is his baby. he had the 'rag rebuilt, the ac fixed, and the speedo was just fixed recently. i suppose if i cant have it back, i should just be glad that it is being taken care of. but im still sad, and i still want it. i do still have a set of keys for it.....

At least it's being well cared for. I just sold my first gen to a 17 year old kid  . He seemed like a good respectable kid, but at 17 I would have destroyed that truck in a bout a month. I hope he isn't like me.

Thats a fiberglass hood with the Dodge R/T scoops made into it.

Dig around this site and you can find one to look at.

Jeff never would listen when I kept telling him that hood would look better on my truck. :D

I, too, have a sad "one that got away" story, but I'll make it short.
First Cummins truck I owned was a 91.5 DRW, std. cab 2wd, sold it to a fellow parts dealer who sold it to a wealthy Farmer/Iron Maggot.
Said Farmer/Iron Maggot blew the transmission up, won't fix it, won't sell it, been broken 5 years now, has no intents to fix it.

Mark.
