My new truck ('91 W250 auto/OD) runs real well. Nothing out of the ordinary. I know someone, at some point has been into the pump. Not sure what was done or why, but I'm curious...
On either of my other trucks(Both CTD's), a very light touch on the pedal will raise the engine RPM and "get you going". With this one, it seems like you need to "push the pedal" further to get going as well as to keep going(like maintaining speed on the hwy). The power is not missing, it just seems to be quite a bit further into the pedal which could mean I might not be getting to all of it(power)?
If the throttle lever is off by a notch(on the pump shaft) is it possible that it would run but seemingly lack some power? Could idle be adjusted to compensate and "mask" this? Maybe I'm just nuts and it's just different that my others. I would like to make any necessary fixes when I put the 3000rpm spring in. I can take some pics if someone could tell, if it looks correct.
Thanks!
Andrew
