fuel shutoff solenoid

so dads truck would not shut off last night.. gotta be the fuel shutoff solenoid right? ignition is still working correctly so it is not that, jus thought i would make sure affor we bought one :? thanks! :wrench:
1990 dodge W250 cummins 6 speed. 4in diamond eye, a turbo,and a pump :D

Yup, that's the problem, probably chipped the tip of it. ;)

In the process of doin some searchin does anyone know of a solenoid that handles bein turned up. Mine died and its not very old quit right after the dennyt pin went in
92 Cummins& a 518. installed in a 86 cclb f350 4x4

we got it in today, there was a tiny chip in the end of it, whats that have to do with anything? but i dont think that was the problem,lol it wont go down at all, its stuck pretty tight :D

Hey Pete didn't i see somewhere where someone ground off the rubber and put a champher on what was left of the metal
part of the FSS and it worked just fine.

I did do a search but i could get nothin.

I ground mine down, then I saw the hole thru the end of it. So I welded it up, cleaned the end off smooth and put it in. It's been in about 2 years now, and it shuts off 99% of the time. Sometimes after I warp on it it will sit there and keep barely turning over and I have to stall it. But not often.
