The 1st time you had the shaft in 180* wrong. The arm was towards the fender, it needs to be towards the engine. Do it again, and don't get in a hurry. If when you start it it idles high, try to adjust it, or move the lever on the shaftcounter clockwise 1 notch. If it idles way low, or only starts with a little throttle, move the lever clockwise 1.
