Cruise control issues

Hello all, I'm new here.
I have a 93' LE 1 ton dually and the cruise isn't working. Anyone have the same problem?
Any ideas you can give will be greatly appreciated.
The power mirrors as are not working either.
Fuses are okay.

Welcome new here. I have a 92 with a cruise control issue also. Mine slowly accelerates when engaged. Can you describe what it is doing or not doing? There are quite a few things to check. A better description could help narrow it down.

Like already said there are many things that cause issues. Is everything still intact? Does the horn work?

Dirty nasty buttons did that for me on mine,took them off,ran denatured alcohol thru them and fixed that.

Did you check them with a test light to make sure 12v was there,dodge is world renown for things of this nature. Andy has one common thing that likes to go as well,if the horn doesn't work then the tape(clocking spring) is bad.

The horn does work, everything works but the cruise.
I will try checking the voltage.
I suppose I had it coming...thanks, New Here.

As said, there is the on/off and setting switches. There is also the clock spring, the brake and clutch disengage switches, the VSS, the servo, and the PCM. Lots to check. I'll check my wheel switches as soon as I get the truck back from the tranny shop. Thanks ellis93

I got a 92 that when ya set the cruise it takes off like ya floored the foot feed. Gets up to about 80-85 then lets off, like ya turned it off. I think its in the buttons. I just aint had a chance to tear it down and clean and inspect everything.

First thing to check on all vehicle electrical problems is the grounds. I've found ground faults to be the cause of over 50% of problems over the years. A bad ground can be weird because several circuits work fine, one doesnt. That can be due to some circuits pulling much higher amperage, so they have the power to complete circuit even with bad grounds. But a lower amperage circuit can be dead, even though it shares the same ground, because there's just not enough extra power there to overcome fault and complete ground. I usually run extra grounds between firewall & fenders, fenders and radiator support, cab & bed etc. just to be sure of continuous circuits.
