Miss?

Postby MikeThomas » Sun Feb 03, 2008 9:21 am

After I put my 370's in I seem to have a miss at idle. Ive tried bleeding it 3 times at different rpms...Its an irregular miss, one that is not in tune with the rpms, a little miss here, a littles miss there, here a miss there, a m....... its getting old  . Coulth there be something wrong with the injectors or something else?

How many miles have you driven it..........My just need to take it out and Flog it a couple good times

Did the copper gasket(washer) fall of one of the tip of the injectors when you were removing the old one and is still in the bore.......or a missing one on the new injector?????
Count your copper washers, just to make sure!

Did you us a round wire brush or something to clean the seating area of the copper washer?

Still running the stock lift pump???????

Flash

I have the timing bumped about 3/16", and it does this at all stages, hot cold, flogged, etc....

Bad injector? Get a fancy temp gun, check temps at the manifold. Do it several different times. If 1 is lower, swap that injector with another, and check it again.
Or, pull them all and have them pop tested.

Calling Chuck wouldn't be a bad idea. Get his input, and make him aware that there might be a problem. ;)
