new starter

What is the tools that i need to replace my starter. What size is the enverted torque bolts. and the best way to get them out. thanks

I just did this a few weeks ago. I can't recall of the top of my head but I want to say the bolts were 15mm. It's a really simple job and the only thing that I had any sort of trouble with was one bolt getting the starter back on. You'll know which one I'm talking about when you get to it. ;)

There 12 point heads. You'll need a 12 point socket. I believe mine where 12mm.

Mine may have been as well. I was thinking 12 or 15, but I'll go out and have a look in a minute to make sure.

well i got it off and it sucked i had those inverted torque bolts that were 15E and one of them stripped so i got the old tourch out so then i put regular metric bolts back in it so it will be easier next time i haft to remove the starter

That shouldn't be for a long while. I've had my truck close to five years and I just had to change mine a few weeks ago.
