VE RETURN MANIFOLD BOLT

Postby BEARKILLER » Sun Apr 13, 2008 12:15 pm

I just removed the return-line banjo-bolt from the VE on the son's truck.

In terms of thinking about cooling/lubing the pump, I was expecting to see big holes like on all the other banjos, with a big flood of cooling/lubing fuel pouring through.

I was beginning to think there was no opening, then I find ONE TINY ORIFICE, so small that the bottom guitar-string just barely poked in it.

I can see the possibility of that tiny hole getting plugged and all manner of difficulties ensuing.

Remember, BK, that is the return, so it will be hotter than fuel coming from the tank. If fuel gets routed back to the tank, it will be cooler and do its job more effectively.
