I just removed the return-line banjo-bolt from the VE on the son's truck.
In terms of thinking about cooling/lubing the pump, I was expecting to see big holes like on all the other banjos, with a big flood of cooling/lubing fuel pouring through.
I was beginning to think there was no opening, then I find ONE TINY ORIFICE, so small that the bottom guitar-string just barely poked in it.
I can see the possibility of that tiny hole getting plugged and all manner of difficulties ensuing.
