You have made sure that your crank to cam gear is correct with the 2 dots lining up with the single dot? Once you confirm that go back and look at your pump to cam and make sure the dot on the cam lines up with the E. I realize you said it did but just make sure. Once you have confirmed that try to advance the pump to the head and see if that helps. Those are the only things you should need to get the timing right. Dont know though I still have issues so maybe I dont have a clue.
