Shuttle valve? Never heard that one. Not to say it doesnt exist, it's just a new one on me. Either way before my time, or well after 93.

I'd think parking brake pedal not fully retracted, or low vacuum (though if your heat vents change as they should, and you have any sign of brake assist, I'd rule that one out).

You could remove the bulb, too.

Dan, he means that silver widget below the master cylinder. I call it a proportioning valve, but that may be incorrect.
It sounds to me like that is the problem too. Equal brake pressure keeps the shuttle in the middle, and the light out. When you blow a line, the shuttle moves, and the light comes on. You sometimes have to bleed the opposite end to move it back and get the light to go out.

Or you can unhook the wire. ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

If it is that valve it won't flow fluid to all 4 corners. Usually a heavy stab on the pedal with the opposite bleeders open will make it come around.

I was talking about the wire on the valve below the master cylinder. There may be other issues causing the light to come on.

I found it, unhooked the connector and light still on, maybe time to just take the bulb out, lol

On your 91, it's not below the master cyllinder- it's on the inner frame rail, driver's side.
