What are the odds!!!!!!

So I took it upon myself to finish installing my boost and pyro gauges today. All that was left was the wiring up so they would light up at night. After an afternoon of tickering and cleaning, I found a hot lead with the lights and wired the two gauges too it. Tonight, I take the gf out to show off what Ive done and notice that the blue High Beam light is on. I pull the blinker bar, and the dam gauge lights go off, apparently I wired the gauges onto the high beam switch :mad:
1992 D350 CC LB 5-spd CTD, 366 GSK, Rotated Fuel Pin, Fuel Screw 1 turn off runaway, Factory Match Pyro and Boost, 4" Diamond eye exhaust, and a broken front sway bar :-)

When you do stuff like that, your not supposed to tell. 8)

The easiest way to tap into the dash lights is to find the fuse that runs just the dash circuit. It will dim with the rest of them if you hook there. ;)

The wiring under this dash is like a rats nest, I had the whole dash out today to make it easier and clean the gauges etc.....do you happen to know what color/tracer the dimming wire is, so tomorrow I dont wire it to the blinker!!!!!! :x

Just look in the fuse block for " instra clstr " or something like that. Take a test light and see if it dims with the headlight switch dimmer. Get a fuse tap ( or make one ) and make sure your hooked to the fused side. Good to go.

Might be fuse # 14, but not sure.

Ive got the manual here, I will tackle it tomorrow afternoon and then be happy by tomorrow evening

All of the dimming dash lights have an ORANGE wire, find one close and tap into it.

Mark you are indeed right, I tapped the big orange wire and now my gauges dim with the dash, thanks guys
