Body Mounts

Postby ktekst » Thu Oct 01, 2009 1:26 pm

Does anybody know any aftermarket places I can go to get body mounts? I am basically doing a frame off resto. on my truck and my body mounts are pretty tortured, I have a dodge parts man looking up what they can get but I thought id ask if anyone knows after market ideas. My truck is a 92 w250 extended cab if it matters.

I thought about energy suspension but they only list ones that fit up to 1985 and my dad talked to them on the phone and they said they had a note that said they wouldnt work on the newer trucks.

Thanks in advance guys, ktekst

I hacked 2 off the 86 donor frame that were the same as the front cab mounts on my 92. The rear ones are different, so I just cut the flat piece out and made a plate with a hole and welded that back in.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Thanks PToombs but I am sorry I wasnt clear in my post to start with, I am talking about the body mount bushings or whatever they call them. I am guessing they call them an isolator or bushing. My fault for not being clear.

95ram, Have you used these on a 86 and newer truck before?

When we talked with energy suspension they talked like these wouldnt work with 86-93 trucks.

Thanks ktekst

I have not, but others over on DTR have and they worked. I dont unerstand why they wouldn't work. My 84 looks to be the same as my 91 and 93.
