steering wheel locked

steering wheel locked

I bought a parts truck with no key,the wheels are half turned.How do I remove/break the steering lock so the wheel will turn.Thanks Eric

To do it "right", you'll need tamper proof Torx bits.
Pull the upper column covers (Also Torx screws) to reveal the ignition switch assembly, which is held in with 3 tamper-proof torx screws.
If the column is a tilting one, unscrew the tilt lever before you remove the upper covers.
Another way would be to unbolt the rag joint from the column.
Mark.
