He certainly has Andy......he's managed to make my trucks rust issues worst :?

I had a buddy down this weekend and he asked about it so I took him to see it,we found it in the very same condition it was 1month ago only.......every bare spot that was sanded is now Rusty. I'm going this week to get it,I'm fed up with his schit excuses and bullschit.

Buy cheap paint and DIY. It's not hard! It's probably warm enough to paint down there today. Painting is just like automatic transmissions. Everyone freaks out and thinks only a professional can do it. Not true.

Pull up your skirt and just do it! :P

Yup, quit making sissy cabinets and sand on some bondo instead of wood. It's not really hard, just time consuming.

Wonder how horrible silver paints? I've heard it's nothing but metallic and subject to looking funny if you get too heavy in areas.
I think I'll end up with the next satin or flat black truck :?

Metallic isn't bad, keep a good overlap, I'd say do 3 or 4 coats, and keep the metallic mixed between coats. Flat and low gloss paints are harder in my opinion.

I've always had good results with rattle can flat and semi gloss. Just make sure you hold it far enough away and don't try to put it on too thick in one go. That always leads to runs

To avoid spots make sure to move the gun/can at a steady speed while maintaining proper distance. Be sure to release the trigger before you are done your sweep, and don't re-engage until you are sweeping back again. I've spray bombed a few of my trucks over the years, I'm pretty good with a rattle can. Always wanted to try painting with a real paint gun lol. Always good to do a little test run on something, at least to confirm the can/gun is working correctly. How good it turns out mostly depends on prepping.

I've sprayed several vehicles with rattle can,I ain't to proud to drive one done in it. Most of my hotrod doings were done like that......never seen the point of fancy paint on something that more than likely would be wreaked or worse.
This truck was to be different......Sunday go to meeting, date night with the wife, etc kinda thing. That's why I went to the problem of making the AC work, otherwise I'd have spent that money elsewhere.
I just wanted to have a nice, clean paint job......but now I just got blooped in the pooty poo.

Now I'll just screw it up myself :)

I'll be digging in the Eastwood catalog the next few days....they have some "kits" that they've thrown together that have some decent prices on them.
