3800 gsk

Postby skilletky » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:32 pm

has anyone on here ever run one or currently use one? been thinking about getting one, but was doing some research and read that the 4200 or 3800 spring is longer than the 366 and can cause the gov to stick at higher rpms.

They need to be trimmed to the correct length. Pulltilbroke runs a 4200 and he trimmed it. He could tell you better then me.

was also thinking of getting a new set of injectors, right now i got a tired set of new era 370's. was wanting to get something with a little extra umph. is it worth getting the ddp stg 4's. would pod's make more or less power than my current injectors?

Is it really worth spinning it close to 4000 without major pump mods? Anyone have a dyno sheet showing that it'll keep pulling that high? I know mine isn't really done up much but I can feel the power plane out by 3000.

I run a 4200 spring with a good valve spring system. I dont use it for the HP factor but for the top speed fun in OD.. I did not trim my spring just indexed it so it worked.

Ah yup. ;)

Well, if you plan on running it up there on a regular basis, and/ or holding it up there.
