Shoot a large stream into a wide bowl, it's likely better than a thin stream into a narrower one and would likely burn clean and make more power, with an appropriate turbo.
The orientation of the injector, in relation to the bowl, on a 12 valve is subject to potential pressure disturbance.

Not to compare apples and oranges, but a VP motor makes good power and runs cleaner due to the more direct shot at the bowl.

My 5x25's are cleaner than the 6x16s, until I nail it. Here is light throttle in 3rd gear locked up a hill with 3.07s in my 89...no haze.

In my experience mpg and driveability is still 90% right foot :D

They obviously make more power than you 6x16's. Who made them jq? How are they egt wise?

I would place a small wager says a 4 hole would make more power in his truck with the bottle...

But too big of a hole with too much boost is a good way to air lock the injector. Also too big of holes can create weak points between the other holes.

Just found this quote from Mr. Smokem himself referencing 12vs, it may clear some things up on your selection.

Smokem wrote:We use the 7-hole injector at times, but only in stock form. If you are looking to make power, go with a 5-hole nozzle.

Did you see him recommend a 7 hole for VE's though? He said something of the fact that at higher RPM's the 5 holes shine but in the lower RPM's that the VE and VP like to make their power the 7 holes are best. :?

Yup, 7 holes with the wide spray angle. Pretty easy for us non-IC'd guys, but it would require different pistons for the later trucks with their baby bowls.
