timing with new injectors

Postby Tsbourne09 » Fri Feb 24, 2012 9:26 pm

my ip timing is to the head (unsure on gear timing, should be stock). when i had my pods in it diddnt haze bad (some but not alot). if im not mistaken pods have a wide spray angle nd are 260bar right? my new 7x15s are 260bar but not sure what the spray angle is. he said he tightend the spray angle up to help with smoke. Now when this thing idles it bellows white smoke! even after driving it for a long time. and it gets slightley less mpgs than it did before(but i think my huh? tourue converter is the cause of this, heads up i will be starting a thread on what tourqe converter i should use soon). so what does this sound like to you guys? to much timing?

It's just the normal huge injector haze. Look up Richie O's videos of his 93 with 6x16 injectors. :D

Not if it's warmed up and still smoking, though a 7x15 does seem pretty big.

Have you tried it with your KSB iwred hot? Might advance it some and give you an indication of whether it needs advanced or retarded.

My 7x15's haze non stop. I jumped a tooth on the gear and got the pump between stock and the head. I have my ksb on a pressure switch. When it gets power, they still haze

Whatever you guys say. I know AHineman's 6x16s have a visible haze(not white) when cold, which clears to nothing once warmed up. My 5x14s haze(not white) when it's cold as well, but clear up when it's warm. I place a white haze as a timing issue, though if you all think it's normal then don't worry about it I guess.

Mine deffinatly get better once it warms up, but they still haze even then. Ellis, if they have the right spray angle, the Pop pressure is close to specs, and you have you timing set right they shouldnt haze. Maybe only a little. I think mine haze all the time because I have the pop pressure set lower than factory.

This is as bad as mine would be, no matter what temperature it was outside. This was with timing to the head and the thinnest set of injector sealing washers.

Their "suppose" to be exactly the right specs for our motors. I hope anyhow

I think he supply's the ccp injectors. I've read bad stuff about them. POP pressures all over the place, dribble, piss poor spray angles. I don't know if that's what you got, but sounds like the result of wrong angles and or poor POP pressures. May wanna get them at least pop tested. Possibly as others have suggested put a crap ton if timing in and see if it clears out some. Just sayin.
