need one truck for towing and can have one for playin

the ve head is cracked

dont want inserts in the towing head

thinking about having that head all done up, inserts, oversize valves, double springs, o-rings, etc, and then putting it aside

pull the '97 head, o-ring it, do a quick valve job, and put it on the ve motor

put the ve motor with the build 4500 and splitter in the 2nd gen and use it for towing (with it set up like it is, 62/65-13, etc). what a tow rig that would be!

then put the done up head on the '97 motor (which has better pistons) (and the pump), put it in the first gen, put a built auto behind it, put the transfer case back in it, alter the wheel base to std cab short bed length and put a short bed on it. then go crazy with the fuel and turbo systems

what a toy that would be!

lots of work tho...

well, what else can i do?

i want to go pretty crazy with the p pump motor and i HAVE to be able to tow

kta says that even if i go a little crazy with that thing it wont last pullin 30k+ pounds

(josh at woodruffs said same thing brian)

i wanted to have the best of both worlds but it does not sound like that is possible

not with one truck anyways

hehe

but with 2 it is possible (now i just gotta rob a few banks)

josh ayers is the one with the auto trans, 1 ton short bed 1st gen idea

and being that that one is 4 wheel drive...

(might need that if i get over 600rwhp)

or 700

or 800

yes, i am obsessive compulsive

big time

don

ps - do my best thinkin in the shower and on the crapper

lol
