well got the truck on the dyno's at school and i put down on my best pull 225hp and 737 tq
but a good friend posed a reasonable question. how accurate are these numbers with a non lock up torque converter? i pulled in 3rd gear
93 w250, 366 spring, BD pin, 5x12 Injectors from Eric, nv4500, super B, high volume low pressure LP, PS I/C

Torque sounds off. Should be 2:1 at the most.
1989 D250 2wd. Scheid 14mm VE pump and 5x25's, J&H Performance 47RH trans with Suncoast manual valvebody, dual wastegates, 62/65/14 S300, NX Dual Stage nitrous, 487 on fuel, 972 on the jug.

Isn't that what a torque converter does? It trades available engine rpm for more torque (and heat)?

I can't look it up here(at work), but there was some explaination on a companies site about how the shape of the blades in a torque are actually able to increase the amount of torque provided. It's something about how it moves the fluid around.

thats accurate of the power that makes it to the ground.....but like JQ said those numbers sound a little off in the ratio of hp to tq.
1930 Model A, 91 non i/c, he351ve over ht3b, bagged all around, mostly built 47rh, 72 lpm sticks, 600hp/1400 ft lbs (cummins math), just needs traction

What kind of dyno? Mustang?
