can i put a hx35 compressor wheel and housing on a wh1c turbo without any mods??
93 w250 reg cab. rigged up stock downpipe to 4 inch to 5 inch exhaust from p.o. mild pump tweaks and all other stock for now. Project "smoke a little smoke". www.c-techperformance.com

No, the HX uses a snap ring and the WH1 uses a clamp. The center sections would need to be swapped also. Why is the HX any better than a WH1C? :? They're both 54mm compressors.

HX35 is a 56mm compressor. The internal guts are the same- you buy a rebuild kit for a H1C/ HX35/ HX40/ H1E.

Not according to HTT, read the first part description: "This upgrade converts your stock HX35W turbo to our most popular HX35/HX40 hybrid turbo.
It increases the air flow capacity of your stock turbo to match the increased fuel flow of performance fuel injectors and performance chips.
Your stock compressor wheel measures 54mm."
