Why are you going to a 4200 RPM spring? There is really no need for it, as the VE doesn't really make power over 3K anyways.

A sledpuller would be the only case I could see a VE needing a 4200 RPM spring.

I beg to differ - my truck makes awesum power over 3000 rpm, matter of fact it pulls like a frieght train all the way to 3600 rpm in second gear and to 4600 rpm in 1st gear

the 4200 rpm spring is definitely a worthwhile mod if you have the motor to back it up

Isn't your truck primarily a sledpuller? That's what I said in my post, I could see the 4200 RPM spring being useful in a sledpulling application, but not much else.

His being a 2wd dually, I don't think he'll be hooked to a sled very often. :D

By the way, I enjoy watching your truck pull, (on YouTube) it's cool to see a competitive VE.
