That was the whole point.

I think Dodge got the highest horsepower stuff besides the marine apps. You can make PLENTY of power with the automotive pump. I'd be more concerned with gathering all the other parts you need to make the build complete. If your current pump is in good working condition and not leaking, a gov. spring and attitude adjustment is all it needs.

With my appetite for Horses and SLED PULLING I need bigger and badder and numbers laying down amazingness. Yes you can make a ton for a VE 620HP or so, but I dont know of many 600 HP Pullers that do well in my neck of the woods. Levi was a big help in explaining a lot of it to me. But I want to be able to hook and go. Though my truck wont be a DD per say it will get driven on the street a bunch. So I want allt he power I can get from a VE pump or swap to a P7100, which looks like a good option.

Might as well p pump it if your want that much power. Cheaper and more reliable in the long run.

I have some cummins direct info on ve equiped 6bta engines rated as high as 192 horse. As far as I know they r 12mm plungers but I don't know which cam, I'm guessing 3.2mm. I currently have a 177hp ve on my truck and I can say it makes a bunch of power but I have yet to verify the cam lift. Maby I can shed more light on this if I ever gat around to it.

Nope. I think it was TDR that said Cummins went to that pump because the emissions emitted from the truck at start up (inherent to the design of the VE and its amazing starting capabilities) could not be controlled and pass the test.

Buuuuut, it doesn't start with the governor held at WOT.

I assume anyways, since I refuse to associate with those filthy heathen pumps.

Yes it does. 8)

Picture for reference:

When the governor is at rest like it is now, it pretty much covers up the fuel overflow port. This in turns adds more fuel. You need 400-450 RPM's to get enough weight to move that collar. Go below 500ish rpms, it goes pretty much full fuel.

^ That's not a Ppump, is it?

I meant P's don't start at WOT. That's why they start cleaner.
