What kind of studs and lugnuts am I supposed to use here?

Stock studs with what I think are Ford wheels. (?)

Where can I get the PROPER lugnuts (and studs?) for this application?

A coned seat for the nut? I'd rather see a few threads out past the end of the stud as well.

Ford used 9/16" studs with those wheels. They used the same lug nuts on both steel and aluminum rims, as far as I know

Could you give me a year range that Ford used these?

Do they make 9/16" studs for our trucks?

Old Body Style as in '92-'97. Tell a parts store '95

After a little search, I doubt you'll be able to find 9/16" studs for the front. They are different than the rear. I'd just get a longer 1/2" stud and the proper nut

So what's the "proper nut"? A two-piece one with the rotating flat bottom part?

Dorman PN 610-283 will work perfectly. They can be had anywhere that has Dorman products.

I used 610-282's, they are a bit short, but work well. I also used 2nd gen lug nuts, as I had them laying around.

And IIRC, those aren't Ford wheels, they are Eagle's. The holes are much smaller on Ford wheels, and if you look on the back side, it will say American Eagle Wheel somewhere ;)

Begle, just run a tapered seat "extended" chrome lugnut.
By your pics, you have plenty of thread engagement there to keep the wheels from disappearing on you.
Just be sure to check them within 10, 30 and 50 mile increments, then at least once a month after.

Usually after 2 or 3 snug downs, they are not going to creep any more.

Yet you want to encourage him to continue to be creepy?

WTF is the matter with you, man?

BTW, think about it, that "young lady" was Begle's childhood sweetheart (in some sick, twisted way), so I'm not banking on her being so "young" these days.
I've never seen a pic of her, though one may exist in another plane of existence I do not know of.

She's my age (22 or 23), skinny, beautiful, intelligent and witty, drives a Chrysler 300m, works three jobs, is sensual and sweetly erudite, loves to cook, likes to dance and do yoga. Can't stand the cold, hasn't a sedentary bone in her body, is a great fan of beer and wine.

She left to the Bahamas for two weeks the day I got back from Arizona, and then was occupied with Father's Day the next weekend, and then the weekend after that was where she took her dad to the show she bought him tickets to the week before. Between our schedules it's difficult, but she says sometime in the next week she'll find time for me.

I keep buying boxes of fruit roll-ups to give to her, but I keep eating them all. I'd forgotten how good the apricot ones are.

I don't like this "usually", "shouldn't" back off stuff... That's the best there is? No matter what lug nut I use, they might fall off after 30 miles, that's just the nature of alloy rims? Because I'll be damned if aluminum rims on semis or brand new off-the-lot cars have falling-off problems if they don't get retorqed three times in the first hundred miles... Surely there must be more to this than repeated re-torques until it don't fall off no more.

So the consensus here is conical seats, extended thread for enough engagement? How do I know if I should buy the 45 or 60 degree conical seats? Having a two-piece nut wouldn't help matters?

Although I'm having problems finding a fourth wheel, so I'll probably end up with something different anyways.

She's gorgeous, too thin to handle the cold so she "runs on solar power and caffeine", has all sorts of friends, bakes, has really big teeth, runs around on the beach.

In comparison I'm a neanderthal who hates warm weather, I live within walking distance to the beach and don't own a single pair of shorts, I've never drank anything alcoholic and shy away from caffeine, have no friends of note, have very small teeth and also have a severe dance-a-phobia.

We can talk good with each other, there's some mutual interest there, but activity-wise there's nothing in common. But oh do I want to see her...

I'd post more pictures but the board quota has been filled up with pictures of lug nuts. Damn.
