rear brakes 93 dodge 4x4

Postby hippo » Sat Aug 25, 2012 8:47 am

Replacing the rear brakes on the old girl and need help putting it back together. It was a pain to get parts. Supposudely they are to be 2.5 inch pads, but mine are 3 inch pads. Had a chilton book, but can't find it. Is there anyplace online that has pictures, diagrams, and number that a guy could use.

Keep the 3" shoes. Here are two pictures for you that I took before replacing some hardware...

3" is fine. Check out Brakeperformance.com, got my pads and rotors there and I remember them also have diagrams for the rotors and they may have the same for the pads.

i just replaced my rear brakes too, and i just noticed that mine were missing the small radiused sheet metal piece that has the cable around it going to the adjuster. it was on the old shoes, but not hooked up and i couldn't figure out what it was for.....looks like i'll be manually adjusting my brakes.
