Yeah, I'm down to about 1/4 tank right now. Should be an easy pull. I won't get around to it until next week, tho.

Motorcycle jacks work pretty good with a fuel tank. Noticed, the fuller, the better. Less sloshing to cause the tank to slide off, if you don't have a strap handy.

+1 on the condensation thing, mine sat around for a couple years with a half tank in it and I decided the middle of winter was the perfect time to fire it up and start driving it again. Every morning for 2 weeks I was on the side of the road bleeding my injector lines from the water freezing up in the fuel system on my way to work.

Well I did some more poking around yesterday. The lift pump is now very suspect. How can I tell it's done?

This weekend I got after it. Pulled out the LPLP and installed my leaky stock diaphragm pump. The stocker pushed 5psi right off the bat. After further inspection, I found about 1/4" of crap stuck to the inlet screen on the LPLP. It looked like paper towel or rag material. I have a feeling I know where it came from. I washed all that crap out and installed a clear inline Fram filter. I will be keeping an eye on this. My pressure is now 17 psi (after I installed the LPLP again) which varies a little. I may pull the fuel tank later, but right now I'm too buzy/lazy.

Plus, I have a fuel filter to catch anything else. . .

Another thing to look for is any cracks or leaks pre lift pump. They arent as pressurized, so they may not give themselves away as easy. We bad a pre lift crack give us a hard time one day. I ended up lightly pressurizing the tank until I saw bubbles and diesel. You just gotta make sure pressurize it lightly, and have a friend to watch and look.
