Fuel Line Help

Postby nolafishr » Tue Oct 09, 2012 1:31 am

I got my injectors changed out and put everything back together,
primed it up and went to start it up but it would not fire. I think I got the fuel lines crossed up hooking them up from the injectors to the injector pump. Does anyone have a diagram or pic on how the fuel lines go #1-#6 on the VE Injector Pump for My 93? Any help is appreciated.

Come on Guys no reply, I am sure some of you have a 93, I just need the order in which the fuel lines hook up to the back of the injector pump, I just want to know that I have them hooked up right.

If you were to place the IP on the table in front of you, with the AFC straight up, looking at the rear, you'd see two of the six delivery-valves at the bottom, side by side.

OK?

That one on the bottom/left goes to cylinder 1. Rotating counter-clockwise, 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4.

I'm not sure how one could get the lines crossed? On my mess it seems the lines would get cocked and run into the head or throttle bracket.

It can take a stupid long time to fire back up. Not only does one have to re prime the system, but then crack injector lines and crank til all injectors are puking fuel all over the place, and then it should start to spit and sputter.... least that's how mine was.

Thanks Guys for the info and help, I thought I had them marked right when I took them off, my mistake I should have done it better, I appreciate the help. I agree, it does take a lot of priming and pumping, I want to be sure that I have my lines hooked up right also.

Here's a pic from my thread, it's how mine were arranged on a '90 non-IC'd model, looking at it from the back of the pump
