That figures, spend time to design one for the truck that has a brake built in and screw the guys that have needed it for over 20 years.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Are they driving the compressor off the INJECTION PUMP NUT?
Yikes, not sure I'd buy that until someone else tested it for a while.

That one is supposedly near silent, though the sole purpose is what counts. I really like the sound of the one for the 6bt in the vid though :D Watch out! here comes a Peterbilt... Or a ... dodge? :D

It is quiet because of the variable geometry turbo. Put a standard turbo on there, it won't be quiet!

Ahh... That makes sense. The VGT EX brake used at the same time would silence it down. If I install a compression brake on my '92 I'll keep the VGT wide open 8)

Wouldn't even have to be using the exhaut brake function of the VGT, to quiet it down.

If you open the VGT all the way, the exhaust not it loud. Maybe louder than the h1c. I think the compression brake would still sound loud with VGT open 8) . I could be wrong though. :)

I wish they'd show what's going on under the valve covers. I assume oil is used to activate it, but it's not like there's an injector lobe on the cam to bump it off. Fly cut pistons? Jeremy showed me how one works at SOP, but I forget

Not sure who is making them for the Cummins 5.9.

I actually liked the YouTube link better, nothing like an aged video, concise information and an enthusiastic narrator to help learn something. 8)
