Valve cover gaskets

Postby RumbleFish » Wed Jan 02, 2013 3:43 pm

Does felpro make anything other than blue? I can get them really cheap, but dont want the blue. Bill says he thought he saw mention of gray or black but couldnt remember where. Ideas?

I've got a grey set sitting in my room but i don't know who made them. I got them from Chris (skilletky) so he may know.

We had gray at work, but now we have black, so I guess you just need to look around.

Jeff and myself don't like paying double the felpro price to keep from getting the color blue. My case dealer wants $10 or $12 each for the 'Cummins' units. F all that lol. I haven't priced direct from Cummins in years though.

I could have swore I got some grey ones at Napa a few years ago for my '90, but I can't remember.

I looked on ebay. Some azzholio is selling 7 used gaskets for $15 + shipping. Wtf? I'll probably end up getting the blue, as my cost on them is $3.25 each.

I sucked it up and bought the Felpro blues for the 93 in my sig. True, they are heinous. But at half of the above Scheid (Cummins) price, plus you get the hold down bolt orings in the Felpro kit, I'll live with the blue. They seem to be the same damn material too. Now if we could just find some black or grey Felpro's!

I think I bought my last set from Autozone (Felpro), this past summer, and they were blue.
