Machine shop just called and said the head is cracked into the injector hole on every cylinder!

Time for a new one.

I got a brand new (loaded) head for $430 plus $88 shipping. Could have been a lot worse, but it still hurts!

I expected to pay $150 for shipping! It worked out. Kicks the 440 '69 Dart project down the road a bit farther though...

Shipping can be had pretty cheap if done right, especially businesses that do lots of shipping through ups.

Last year, I shipped a t-case from Idaho to Florida for $68

Every B-series Cummins head has cracks to the injector bore.

It's hardly ever a problem.

It is a problem though, when those same cracks extend on over and into the valve-seats. :(

Find out where those cracks are.

Too bad you didn't know it when I visited, Mark.
I certainly would have brought you one while I was there.
