Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Will, I can now hold it until defuel and no antifreeze comes down the side of the block from the head, now it comes out of the radiator!

I held it to the floor and it went 90 in 4th, so I guess the studs are working!

Probably bad luck on the radiator, and a pressure relief wouldn't really help the radiator pressure, but I know I am probably cranking way too much pressure into the block at high speed.

IDK, I've had mine to 94 in 4th several times and never had a problem. With the radiator. ;) I can turn 3500 rpms too.

I think what did it was going up a huge hill on the freeway (pulling a Scumaro on a trailer) at 85 in 5th. Actually there were two of those monster hills. We didn't notice the leak until we were headed back down the mountain to get fuel.
For some reason I have poor self control when pulling heavy. As long as the EGT's are OK I like to crank on her.

Got to get it fixed this week because I am pulling an old Dodge Travco motor home from 4,700ft to 7,500ft.

Keep your foot out of it! ;) There's no reason to go 85, the ferds you are passing are only going 50, the empy ones anyways!

I'm only a year behind you, and I haven't changed yet either! Tim Worline was at SOP a few years ago and described me as a 19 yo with 30 years of experience to somebody. I laughed my ass off that he remembered I had mentioned that once on here.
The other thing is what my mother calls the family deformity, the right leg is 2 inches longer than the left. ;) The cops threw up a roadblock for her on the interstate one time.

I remember a high school friend bringing over his '69 Road Runner 4 speed car and letting my Mom drive it. She immediately burned rubber down the driveway and out on the road.
