AS for the hx40..... I've never been a fan of them. Large exhaust housings, slow to spool.

ok thats good to know. not a huge of gated turbos myself just have heard alot about the hx40. i want something that is gonna spool fairly quick as i would rather not leave a cloud at every stop.

You'll want to go with a gated turbo though..... IF YOU WANT to go compounds in the future.

That 60/68 turbo is a good turbo, but not if one wants to run compounds in the future.

Ya.... for a single. Problem is you need to decide if you want to stay single or go compounds. Making over 400 on a single is going to put you into too large of a single to later have a good spooling compound setup.

An FYI, I'll be trying a killer b here when I go with my new setup.

The cheetah is a fast spooling tubo that'll do it. Flleece is very proud of that thing though, and the price tag shows it.

ok ill say somthing crazy.. not really up on knowledge of twins. could i use my stock with a killer b for a twim setup? or is that what you meant by too large to have a good spoiling compound? again i dont know enough about twin to pair them up. just know they are great for multiple use trucks and they build alot of heat under the hood. if i can get away with only having to buy one turbo that would be great. but i also dont think i can pull in any of the stockish classes around here with twins.

Twins will put you into a pulling class where our trucks don't belong...... it'll be bad to say the least.

stock / a killer b is too small of a set up the killer b is way too small. The killer b is a little big to be the top turbo though. Make sense?

A 62/65 or a 63/65 will work ok as a single, but that's about as big as you'll want to ever go on a single..... after that they are just stupid to try and drive around and don't match the fueling curve of our pumps.

ok so in that case twins are out of the question. im gonna look bad enough in a regular stock class, let alone pulling in open. so a killer b or a cheetah will work as a single with 5x14's and a high low piston lift?

Yes..... a bigger single will pull better, but drive worse on the street. IMO a 62 to 63 charger would be the biggest I'd run.

5x14s will move the fuel you are looking to get with proper pump tuning..... 5x16s will move more, but once again IMO they are a little smokey.

Keep in mind the reason I keep saying IMO is because everyone has a different opinion of acceptable smoke and lagginess of their truck.
