The king 1st gen

Postby RCCUMMINS89 » Mon Apr 15, 2013 3:28 am

I'm up way early because it's opening day of Turkey and Bear season :D  :D  :D

Anyways, I think it would be absolutely sweet if we could get some of the baddest sweetest 1st gens (hopefully I count  ) and have a competition.....

Sled pull, dyno, drag race, pull up a grade, stopping time, maybe some off road obstacles, turning, fuel economy..... all the good stuff to see who scores the highest.

Sure would make for a good article if ol' JQMile put on the event.

I don't think DP could do it, too many lawsuits from drivers with back injuries.

There was a member on here who I was half tempted to call out and have Mano y Mano first gen battle. Haha. I've often thought of a flash back diesel power challenge. Idi or early powerstroke, 6.2-5 chevy, ve cummins. I know a lot of you are thinking amve cummins will own the show. But I'm sure there are probably some chevy / ford idi trucks out there that can run.

Anyhow I'd be down to travel ateast half way across the USA for this. So count me in. Just let me scrape some pennies up first. Oh and I'm not wheeling my rig anymore! The sump is log catcher!

And I'm not talking flannels and logging boots ether!

I'm talking acid wash, British knights, mullets, tank tops, and day glow! Lots of day glow!

ya know, technically we could do king ve

Considering if it was an all around type competition. Obviously jq or deathrod would not go off road and deathrod wouldn't tow. my truck is pointless to try and drag race.... and wouldn't stop worth a darn.

Drag, dyno, fuel economy, trailer tow, sled pull. I'm sure everyone could all or most. Ive never hooked to a sled so I'm pretty sure I'd be low in the barrel o' monkey on that event and probably more. So where jq and deathrod wouldn't do well on sled pull, they'd probably dominate elsewhere. Fuel to travel would be my only concern, I'd have to carpool my car! I'm down no matter what

Yeah I just crunched the numbers right quick at 18 mpg average at 4$ a gallon. From where I live in nor cal to Kansas city would cost me a minimum of 750$. That's not bad, more like a small trip ( that I can't afford to go on very much) lol.
But it'd be a fun trip.
