even though probably no one from the east side of the country would come out. Somewhere like california would work good. Sea level, has mountains, long highways, etc...

That would be nice. But I'm sure there's at least some Midwest fellows that would be more tempted to travel if we centralized it more. I'd ask my dad for his elite and dually and be willing to tow another. Hell even mile high would be cool! We'd all be competing in the same atmosphere.

Ya... Kansas is about as centralized as things get.... but Colorado actualy has some mountains and is right next to it.

Does that thing have a tow package?? Wasn't saying you couldn't tow. Do you have any pics of the car?

Towing is EASY, it's the WHOAH-ing, that can get treacherous. :D

If my truck was built by the time the event is (if there is one), I would definitely drive out to California for it.

Sutter1stgen wrote:Yeah I just crunched the numbers right quick at 18 mpg average at 4$ a gallon. From where I live in nor cal to Kansas city would cost me a minimum of 750$. That's not bad, more like a small trip ( that I can't afford to go on very much) lol.
But it'd be a fun trip.

I think your math is a little off. lol  For you having to travel 1733 miles with 18mpg the equation would be 1733/x=18 with x equaling the amount of fuel used. (x=96) Then multiply that by $4 a gallon to get a trip cost of $384 for fuel. For me, traveling from PA, I would have to travel 2,687 miles. But I would tow my rock crawler behind me to do a little offroading. lol

Your right. I must have been sniffing glue. Lol

No but seriously I did two equations one towing and one driving solo. I probably got the numbers mixed up while typing. But thank you for helping me realize.

Meh, it's air ride. Just back up under a gooseneck, air up, and floor it when it catches something. 8)

So, I figure I've got to spend a mere $5000 ish.... to put my truck in such condition to do something like this.

And that doesn't include anything with the body.

Seems kinda' pointless just to "keep up with the crowd".
That kind of money can buy a helluva decent body, or body work. :P
