So i know that the oil pressure gauge isnt the most reliable. But my oil pressure was higher than normal the second to last line before the H. What causes this?

Going on a year now my temp gauge sweeps once or twice while driving around and also today it is going almost hot then sweeping back to almost half on te hot side, then right back to almost hot. Im tinking thermostat but what do you guys think? Also my radiator cap is BAIRLY warm.

Supposedly some brands of filters can cause the oil pressure gauge to act weird. Did you change brands recently?

On the coolant gauge, mine did that when it was low on coolant. I lost maybe a quart of water when I changed the thermistor and it caused that, so every bit counts I guess.

I was going to say the same thing for the coolant. If it was low and had an air bubble, that could have caused the cap to be cooler.

Check the grounds on the truck. Anytime gauges start to act funny, clean the battery terminals and all the grounds. It's a common problem with our trucks. It may be something else, but when 2 gauges act up at once, I'm thinking electrical.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
