Mine are new on my truck and every time I grease them water squirts out, I don't drive in deep water, it's
hard to believe that much gets in from regular driving.


on a side note, the JD conditioner I have has two shafts with joints to run the crimper rollers, the grease fittings
are in the center of one of the caps, why don't auto u-joints use this type of lubrication system, it is so easy to get a
grease gun on it.

Everybody USED to do it! Now it's cheaper to put in the lifetime (of the joint) U-joints and let somebody else worry about it!

I've noticed a lot more equipment I deal with going to sealed bearings. Nothing like paying $200 for a part that a $2 grease fitting would have saved.

$200? Shoot, a joint for a Case 450C dozer is the size of one on a Dodge Dart and it's $150-160. One for a loader is well north of $300.

Yeah but I'm talking bearings that are smaller then a silver dollar. I just spent $1500 for 2 pulleys and three deck spindles. Bobcat just raped them for two seal kits and labor at $700. That's what they get for not buying me proper tools.

Well, start where the truck stopped rolling, and walk back towards where you came from about 1-200 feet, and it should be right in that area.
In case you don't know, it's a big gray funnel shaped thing with oil coming out of it.








I figured I'd post because I did see where you got the seal put back in.

Yeah I replaced the rear seal and topped it off. So far all seems good.
