They don't make a Jake brake for the B series. Yet. One company has a prototype that they're testing. It sounds sweet. It is completely functional too which is awesome since our brakes are so bad.

Is it just me or is that compression release company stuff really weak? I wanted a couple videos and other than a bunch of noise it didn't seem to slow down an unloaded truck much or like a jake does.

Nothing wrong with a good ol' exhaust brake. My buddy has a one on his p pumped 1 st gen. And with that thing will throw you through the window.

I have a feeling that you could tune them "beyond the manufacturer's recommendations" to get a little better performance. It looks like they're driving the system off of the IP nut, which is kind of scary.

We (he) put a BD exhaust brake on his truck.

BD makes a 1st gen specific brake..... PM me if you are interested in one.

I think the setup with the deal attached the the IP nut was an earlier prototype. I think they've changed it since then but not for sure. On one of their newer videos the setup looked like it was belt driven. I'm still skeptical of the whole operation because of the lack of info. But I guess they're still waiting on patent stuff. :?:
