That's an easy fix, it's called downshifting, driver. :P

And a valet switch,I'm hopping that will kill enough fuel I won't have to downshift ;)

Good luck with that! My valet cuts the fuel, but I still needed to keep my foot into it and downshift to keep the air moving and keep it cool. Even with the valet if I lugged it, it would heat up.

Yeah, yeah...I will own up to it, I ended up installing the cam plate 180 degrees out. Every time. Simple mistake that I kept overlooking. That's why it never ran right before...now it runs very well.

Ellis, there isn't much to these pumps. If that NOS pump of mine ran well enough, I'd loan it to you so you could get your other pump gone through...but it is still not running right...

Ike I appreciate the offer ;) I bought a pump from Hanson on here awhile back. Supposedly it's good but non i/c.
I'm going to fire it back up with the existing pump and go from there, because I think Pete might have guessed right awhile ago....... That was painful

I pulled the valves from the head and 4 cylinders exhaust and intake valves was saturated in oil,and crusted over. The guides however check out under max tolerance so.....valve stem seals were puking oil down in the cylinders. That explains some of the blue smoke and why it took so dang long to clean up. What I don't understand is why the smoke starts out white-ish and smelling like fuel.....possibly cool cylinder temp
Whatever  it's getting fixed regardless.
I'll post a pic of the valves

Well I have 270k in the clock. The PO worked it and I do too. I'll just play ignorant and say the haze is from my 4x13 injectors 8)

The thing is though, I never lose more than 2 quarts of oil over 5k miles if the dipstick is accurate. My 727 single handedly makes up for the fluid loss

Well hopefully that fixes your mysterious oil use issue you had a while back as well.

Are you swapping over the KSB too? I seen somethin mentioned earlier about swapping the DV holders but didnt see much mentioned about the KSB, as the non-ic KSB's work opposite of the IC KSB's...

Yeah I am....I knew about it from some of BobS' post on the subject. I thought I read somewhere where someone used i/c lines with the non i/c valves but I can't scare it up :?

Ellis, it doesn't need to be painful, you just need to remember I work on this stuff for a living. ;)
Let me tell you how good I am.... (today anyways ;) )
Boss tells me yesterday I have to go 2 1/2 hours up north today, loader is showing warning lights and only gets 1st gear. Code set is 4438. I look in the book, no 4438. I look up about 4 lines and see 4338, which is a "configuration error" . I start laughing, go in and tell him somebody has been playing in the dash and changed the machine model from an 821E to 721E. I go for the ride up this morning, turn on the key and it says 721. I check the codes, 4338. I tell the operator what happened and he started laughing too. It cost them about $1600 because somebody was playing in the dash, and if they had told us the right code I could have told them how to fix it on the phone.

Pete,I'd have never figured this thing wouldn't have just smoked and run like normal. Hell they "burn" fuel "oil"

But Nooooooo,it can't do that  everything else does that.....least till a plug fowls other,in my little gas burner world. Hell I even seen 6.5/2's and idi7.3's run off of there own oil :) . I would guess it's the closes thing to diesel flood

I have Non IC delivery valve holders and IC lines. Loosened all the clamps, etc. tweaked them some and tightened everything back up. Not too difficult.
