Not sure if this is the right place... feel free to move it thanks...

Anyway I been working at autozone part time for a few months. Yesterday im looking through our flyer and notice delvac oil on sale for like $13 /gallon. Not a bad price, but I can get that at walmart. One other brand was shown too.

Then I read the fine print below and see it says Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 is included in the sale.

I grabbed 2 gallons and scanned them - $26 each. Then i sub-total it and it applied the sale -- sure enough, Full Synthetic Mobil 1 5w40, same price as Delvac...

This might or might not be national. But its worth a look if you need an oil change. Almost half price. I am considering trying it but afraid of oil leaks... I usually run the cheapest 15w40 i can get and 2 bottles of STP just to help prevent leaks...

Yeah not trying to sound like an ad - just the cheapest Ive ever seen a diesel synt.

I just picked up 9 gallons for $106 otd!!!!!!! I had $20 on my autozone card but it almost feels like stealing. At this price I might even try it out in the ole 12v. Thanks for the heads up......sale is good until dec 24th.

Yes, I got the sale price and saved $102. Normally I buy it for $3/gal cheaper than Auto Zone so in reality I saved $84 over my usual source. I'm not putting a lot of miles on the truck so one oil change with the Mobile 1 and Baldwin filter will last me a year easily. One gallon will go into my Honda VFR 800. I like the Mobile 1 TDT as motorcyle engines with integrated transmissions have similar oil shearing issues as we have with the timing gear drive and the viscosity range is spot on.

So everyone is getting $13 a gallon for our oil? Good price and all, but I've never paid more than 13ish a gallon. Does my area just have better pricing than the rest of the country? Or am I missing something?

The oil we are getting is synthetic Mobil - not regular devlac 1300. It's normally $26.99 at Walmart and 29.99 at autozone
