Shoot, all I need is 13 more hp! I'm hoping to get that through some dirty cheap tricks and tuning :D Then bottle.

One of the biggest restrictions is definitely the the cast intake. Try and find a custom intake or make one. Better yet just try and port and polish the stock one. There ain't much to port but every bit helps!

Allright, took it to the track...get ready to not be impressed, as the Hoosiers didn't hook up like I had hoped with my 2wd non-posi. My 60ft time was a 2.35, while the 1/8th mile was 9.6@73mph, which is like a high 14 in the quarter. I aired em down to about 16psi, and my 60ft improved to 2.25, but the rearend started making funny noises and I let off. Still a long way to go, but if I could get the 60ft time down to a 1.9-2.0 like I had hoped, then I could at least run a respectable low 9. Got another 30hp or so up my sleeve with a few tricks, then there is always nitrous......it's a start ;)

On the plus side of things, I cut a perfect .500 light!! First one ever!

The trick with a open diff is trying to get one tire hot enough that your 2nt burn out spins the other tire.........with out pissing off the starter,.......or the guy your racing ;)
You are using True Drag Racing Slick right?(Wrinkle Wall Slicks)

If you have screws in the beed............go down to 12 psi and see how they hook.

Naaah not yet. I am using Hoosier Quick times, they're a soft sidewall (not wrinklewall) treaded tire. I'm going to see how I can do with them first, then get some real slicks when I get to 400-500rwhp.

throw some mt drag radials on there i can hook 1400hp decent with those. weld your spider gears its cheap and solve most traction problems. i run my front and rears welded on the street everyday with no problems and thats with 33 13.50 boggers

you dont have to hook hp

you have to hook torque

how much torque does your truck have?

(the one you 'think' has 1400 hp)
