installed a 366 spring and truck dies when i press the pedal

First post here so here's the back ground info. Truck is a 87 f350 4 door big dumb lift and big dumb tires. First gen 180hp bus motor factory air to water 727 trans gear vendors od (gear vendors is for sale) . Ground the hell out of pin, maxed the screw adjusted the linkage pushed the pump to the head and and installed a hx35. Yesterday I got my 366 spring in the mail and installed it. When I fired her up she revs to about 1500 and dies when I hit the pedal. I'm guessing I indexed the linkage wrong. I'll check after work is there any other thing that could cause this.

Sounds like a linkage and fuel screw out of adjustment issue. Didn't get the lever in 180 out did you? I've heard of folks doing that, meaning when you push on the throttle it works backwards.

Yeah got it figured out now just miss indexed my linkage.

Grinding on the throttle lever now so it won't contact the fuel supply line under wot

No need to grind it.... Either try and screw your fuel supply line in further.... Otherwise take it apart and bind the line just a little bit.

Tried both but I have my timing pushed to the head right now and I couldn't get the line bent out of the way. It's kinda tight right there.

Ah...well whatever gets ya that full travel.

Full travel out of the pump is easy but trying to get my tv linkage in the Trans in sync isnt workersng out.

How did you fix your throttle did you have to take the pump apart again. Mine is doing the same thing after I just changed some seals

No just had to take the throttle linkage off and reindex it.
